What's In My Handbag?

Hey Guys!!

I have not done a what's in my handbag? post in so long and thought I would do an updated post. This is the first one I did which was about 2 years ago when I first started my blog, so definitely needs updating. Plus if any of you are like me and nosey, you will love this post.


I now have a new handbag which was definitely needed as I had been using the brown leather one for a long time and just wanted to upgrade. I got this one from Primark for roughly £8 I think and it has 2 zip pockets and then the main compartment.


In the one zip pocket I keep my house keys, inhaler, just in case I need it, paracetamol and a cloth for my glasses.


In the 2nd zip pocket I then keep hand cream as my hands get very dry from work, my deodorant, my phone and of course a diary.


Then in the main compartment I keep my purse and chewing gum. I do also keep my vlogging camera in the main part but that's not pictured.

My Night Routine ox

Hey Guys!!
 
The night I think is my favourite time of the day as I can snuggle up with a really good film or a book. This routine is quite similar to my morning one but obviously I'm getting into pjs. So here is my night routine :)
 

So the very first thing I do is cleanse my face, I don't always do this as I forget sometimes when I'm really tired.
 
 
I then get into some really warm pyjamas, these are my favourite style pyjamas when it comes to Autumn/Winter.
 
 
I then either curl up in this blanket or my huge, warm duvet in bed with a book or maybe a film if Llewellyn is home, especially on weekends.
 
Also depending on how I'm feeling I sometimes have a nice, relaxing bath.
I then go to sleep at roughly 11pm.
 
What's your favourite thing to do at night when getting ready for bed?

My Morning Routine ox

Hey Guys!!
 
I've finally got myself into a morning routine, it's a miracle!!! I have a habit of just getting up when I feel like it rather than a reasonable time, I don't work at the moment so my routine was all over the place. So I thought I would share with you that routine :)


So the first thing I do is wake up at 7am, every other day I get up at this time and have a shower.


Once I've had my shower I then cleanse and wash my face.


Once I'm all clean & smelling nice, I do myself a nice, hot cup of tea and some jam on toast.


I always clean my teeth after I've eaten and taken my tablets.

Depending on whether I have a shower or not, I either get dressed after my shower or after breakfast.

And that is it to be honest, just a nice, simple routine.

My Fitness Week 2

Hey Guys!!
 
We are now on to Week 2 of my Fitness series, even though this post is actually a day late, that's because I was at Mums' for a BBQ :) Talking about BBQs, this week has not been a very good week at all, food and exercise wise. It seems as though I started this series and all I have done is eat and slack on the exercise front.
 
I did do a little bit of a workout on the treadmill at Mums, but then she decided to move the living room around and it was also Chloes' Birthday Friday so I missed out on that day also, so I done 3 days on there last week. I'm still doing Program 2 as I still get a little breathless when doing it and I can feel its working me out :)
 
I am on Day 4 of my Runtastic app and I must admit it is a decent workout app. I didn't think I would feel the effects, as in feeling a bit sore and aching a bit so I know its working :) I got another 6 days of Level 1 so we shall see what measurements will be like next week :)
 
 
Onto my measurements :)
 
I actually realised I measured my waist wrong so it is actually 28ins so have to disregard last weeks measurement of 33ins. I actually gained half an inch on my stomach, which I expected because we have had 2 BBQs at the weekend and also went out for food on Sunday, but half an inch is not bad at all. My thighs have actually stayed the same so I'm happy with that :) What I am rather happy about is even though we done all that unhealthy eating over the weekend, I have managed to lose a pound :D
 
I will say I have done nothing different eating wise I have stuck to 3 meals a day, not been snacking much and have been drinking a lot more water, and I am feeling a lot better for it all to :)

My Fitness Week 1

Hey Guys!!
 
I'm actually a little nervous to do this post as I find it very hard to motivate myself to get fit. I have been seeing a lot of fitness posts around and reading a lot of them!! So I am taking the plunge and doing my own Fitness series :)
 
In roughly 3 months I am off on holiday to Corfu and I can not wait to go!! But I am not in the best of shape and would like to tone up a bit ready for it :) It doesn't help that chocolates, cakes and anything sweet is so tempting, so I am trying my hardest to make healthier decisions :)
 
I am not going by my weight as I don't want to lose weight as I am a healthy weight for my height according to the Dr :) So I have measured my waist, stomach and thighs as I feel I will see more progress that way :) I have taken a picture of my measurements and then we can all see the progress I am hopefully going to make :) So these are the measurements at the moment.
 
Waist 33ins; Stomach 32ins; Thighs 20ins; Weight 8st 5lb
 
As I said above I am not worried about my weight but more my measurements.
 
Onto how I am going to get into shape!! I haven't pictured it but my Mum has a treadmill so whenever I am at my Mums', which tends to be 5 times a week, I am going to do half an hour on there. I have been going on there for a while and been doing the pre-programmed sessions on there. I started out on Programme 1 and am now on Programme 2 so will be doing that until I feel its not really doing anything.
 
I have also downloaded an App onto my phone called Runtastic Six Pack and it is aimed to get you a Six Pack in 6 weeks.
 
 

I am going to be starting this today and you start on Level 1, then each week go up a level. I have the free version but you can upgrade it for a price, I'm not sure how much as it doesn't say. I'm hoping I'm going to see some progress on my stomach area and you never know I might end up with a Six Pack ha ha
 
Eating wise I am pretty good, I stick to 3 meals a day, sometimes I do forget to have breakfast but I am going to make sure I have breakfast every morning from now on. I just need to make sure I eat more fruit as I don't eat a lot of fruit, instead of eating sugary sweets all the time :)

Hey Guys!!
 
Lately all I have been doing is listening to music and decided it was time to tidy up my playlist on my iPod. Lets just say there was over 100 songs and I hardly listened to any of them!!!
 
I thought the best thing to do was delete all the songs I had on there and start from scratch :) I have a wide range of musical taste from old school music like Guns and Roses all the way to Disney songs.
 
I decided to go on to the Radio 1 website and see what was in the top 40, as you can listen to a little clip of the song and then if I wanted it I would get that song, by doing this I ended up with songs I really liked and haven't stopped listening to them so far.
 
And here are the lucky 22 :)
 
 
The one after Disneys Frozen is Tinie Tempah - Tsunami :)
 
As you can see there is a wide range of different genres of music. Out of all these songs though I do have my favourite and in this case I have 3 that I just love listening to :)
 

 
We have A Great Big World & Christina Aguilera - Say Something, Christina Perri - Human and Frozen - Let It Go.
 
These 3 songs I absolutely love and could listen to them all day and actually as I am typing this post I am listening to them :)

My Week #6

Hey Guys!!
 
I haven't done a My Week post for a while because with work and stuff, I haven't really done a lot. My weeks have been mostly filled with housework, this week though even though I have been here, there and everywhere I actually managed to take pictures :) So here they are :)
 
 
1. I was getting washing done and went into the bedroom, wondering where Poppy was until I seen this little face poking out at me from under the duvet :)
 
2. I was at my Mums and we were looking through old photos when I came across this one of me, my Godmother and her sister, in the summer of '91, I was about 7 months old, I think.
 
3. Poppy has taken to sleeping under the duvet this week for some reason. This particular morning though she had worked out that she could crawl into the duvet cover, where you do it up at the bottom, if she hadn't have moved I wouldn't have known she was in there haha
 
4. Again I had popped into my Mums after work and I think it was a bit of a family gathering, as my Nan, Grandad, Uncle and cousin was there. Ieuan absolutely loves it when Olly licks him all the time, so just sat there having a whale of time letting him lick his hand, though prior to this picture he was licking his face.
 
5. This evening Llewellyn was off work so I decided to make us a lovely cottage pie from scratch, along with carrots and peas, and of course gravy :) It was absolutely gorgeous and really want to start making more meals from scratch :)
 
Hopefully this week isn't going to be as busy or manic, and I can actually get some workouts in, as I slacked this week :(

My Week #5

Hey Guys!!
 
Another week has gone, seems like its going way to fast the time, don't you think? Especially as its been 5 weeks since I started these posts, scary stuff!!
 
Any how, I have sat and debated what my favourite pictures were from this week and I came up with this wonderful 7 :)
 

Sunday - I liked this picture as they had been fighting 5 minutes before I took this and then they were all curled up with each other as if it never happened haha
 
Monday - This was my first healthy meal of the week, as I have been trying really hard to eat clean and its been going pretty well. I must say this was delicious :) it was BBQ chicken with jacket potatoes, cheese and peas :)
 
Friday - Of course Friday was Valentines Day and of course I got my hubby a card and presents (his presents aren't pictured) but thought I would 'decorate' his envelope :) As you can see I had flowers, which is the norm I think for Valentines Day with anyone unless you don't like flowers, and I also had a new rugby shirt, me to you bear and candle :) The other Friday picture at the bottom is from a 5 minute walk from my Mums to my flat and I got soaked as this weather has been terrible :(
 
Saturday - I was in a bit of a baking mood thanks to my sister Chloe, she made brownies and did a blog post on it, which you can go over and read and follow her here if you'd like :) but I really fancied baking so baked this little heart cake :) I will be doing a blog post on it :)
 
So there you go these were my favourite pictures from this week, I'm hoping this week is going to be filled with some really fun things and just relaxing, but I am looking forward to my week off work next week :) Yay for half terms!! as much as I love my job its nice to have time off :)

My Week #4

Hey Guys!!
 
Sorry once again that this post is a day late, was a little dehydrated and do we dare say it, hungover and couldn't face the bright light of my laptop :(
 
This week I'm doing this post a little differently, you see I take a lot of pictures through the week rather than just one every day, so thought this week I would just pick my favourite 7 pictures from the week :) and here they are.
 

Sunday - Once again we had a gorgeous cooked dinner but this time we had lamb and it was delicious. I always look forward to a Sunday as the dinner is the best part.
 
Monday - At the moment I am finding I am absolutely obsessed with chocolate milkshake so have been drinking it everyday this week, though it does not do well with me trying to be healthy.
 
Friday - This day I signed up for Results With Lucy, which is Lucy from TOWIEs fitness website, and this is the workout I tried out and by god you could feel the burn so I am hoping this going to help me keep fit.
 
Saturday - There are 3 pictures I like from Saturday and there is number 1 which is my outfit I wore through the day, Guns and Roses top, track pants and my beanie hat and just felt so cool :) Then there was my outfit I wore out on the town (top pic with Saturday in red) I felt so comfortable in it and loved the top. Then the last pic is of me and my 'Aunty' (I don't really call her aunty as we are quite close in age so more friends than anything) who I went out on the town with and just loved this picture :)
 
So these were my favourite pictures from the week and we shall have to wait and see until next week to see what my favourites are for this week :)

My Week #3

Hey Guys!!
 
I am sorry this post is a day late, I was over my Nans yesterday so wasn't able to post. As you can see though we have come to that time again where we see what I got up to through the week :)
 

1. Sunday - This was the day after Llewellyns staff party and there was no better way to cure my hangover than with chicken nuggets and a chocolate milkshake, also a 3 hour nap helped as well!!
 
2. Tuesday - I thought I would sit in bed and read my book, but came in to see that both cats were curled up together, taking up the whole side of my bed haha
 
3. Wednesday - This day I was feeling a bit down so I sat down with this box of Heroes and watched a film under a blanket:)
 
4. Thursday - I decided to cook a nice healthy meal today and by god it tasted gorgeous!! It was chicken in a white wine sauce with croquets, delicious!!!
 
5. Friday - Today I decided to sit down and actually organise myself with blogs, youtube and fitness. So now you can expect regular posts and videos :) its nice to be organised for once :)
 
6. Saturday - Of course today was the start of the Rugby 6 Nations!! Being Welsh of course we sat and watched to support our boys in red and boy did they do well winning their first match. So we got my Mums dog Olly in on the action to and put a rugby shirt on him :)
 
As you may notice there is no picture for Monday but that is because I was doing housework that day and didn't do anything picture worthy :(

My Week #2

Hey Guys!!
 
It is Week #2 of this series for the year and this week has been full of healthy eating, drinking more water, new dress and staff party :)
 
And here it is in pictures :)
 

1. Sunday - Today was a day full of chilling and playing 3DS which I am in love with :)
 
2. Monday - Its very rare that the cats just cuddle together so had to capture the moment before they start chasing each other around the flat :)
 
3. Tuesday - I spent the afternoon at my Mums and used my new mug that she bought me *I am in no way actually messy* :)
 
4. Wednesday - As you know I am doing a 30 Day Healthy Challenge and it has been going well and this one of my healthy meals of the week, lamb kebabs and rice :)
 
5. Thursday - I have also been doing really well in the drinking more water side of things to :)
 
6. Friday - My dress came from BooHoo and I had to try it on :) I fell in love with it :)
 
7. Saturday - This is me and Llewellyn in the hotel room before we went down to the party, it was a brilliant night and there was even a photobooth :)
 
That was my fun packed week, its been a really good week and hopefully this week will be just the same :)

My Week #1

Hey Guys!!
 
This the first post that will be a weekly 'series' shall we say of what I got up to in the week in pictures :) They will be pictures off my iPod, phone and maybe some off my camera :) The week will go Sunday to Saturday for me to then post the following Sunday, if that makes any sense haha
 
This week has been a bit of an up and down week to be honest, also it has been my first full week in my new job which I am absolutely loving :) I am so happy that I am in a job that I completely enjoy as I have had jobs in the past where I really don't enjoy them.
 
It has also been full of some relaxing time and lots of cuddles while watching films and I love the quality time we spend together whether its the cats or my husband :)
 
I have also discovered things this week that were fun and also not so fun. I have come to the realisation that I am only keeping people in my life that bring positivity to my life rather than negativity, as I will end up just running myself down and I don't need that :)
 
Anyway lets get on with the pictures :)
 
1 - Sunday - I took this picture as I had straightened my hair the day before, I'm pretty lucky my hair stays straight for a while, and just loved how nice it looked and how nice the length is at the moment, though I will probably get it tidied up soon :)
 
2 - Monday - This was while I was waiting for my bus to go to work, I really need to learn to drive, but this was the only really nice day we had this week. I loved how the sun rose over the house and thought it was a perfect photo opportunity, though it took me ages to take it as there were so many cars going past :)
 
3 - Tuesday - I decided today I just needed to relax and just completely chill out, so I run myself a nice hot bath, lit some lovely smelling candles and just chilled in the bubbles, I definitely felt better after that :)
 
4 - Wednesday - This was quality cuddle time with Jacob our older cat, he very much loves a cuddle especially with Llewellyn, he can't sit for 5 minutes without Jacob jumping on his lap :)
 
5 - Thursday - This was my fun discovery. I was a little bored this evening and when I'm bored I like to go on Google Street View and look at houses I can only dream of living in, only I then came across me walking to my Mums' I had a little giggle for a while about this :)
 
6 - Friday - I think I'm a little obsessed with candles, the two little ones in the middle are my Yankee Candles and are cinnamon scented, my lord they a gorgeous :) I just felt like lighting some candles this evening and just chilled and read my book for a bit by candle light :)
 
7 - Saturday - My healthy eating is going slightly well hiding box of chocs as we speak I have been having regular meals this week, I'm normally rubbish at making sure I eat at regular times but I have been doing well :)
 
That's my week :) Its definitely been a candle obsessed one haha but nice and relaxing, hopefully this week will be a little better though, we shall soon find out :)

My 5 Favourite Make Up Products

Hey Guys!!
 
As you can tell by the title I thought I would show you my 5 favourite make up products I have been using a lot lately. I rarely wear make up everyday as I tend to have bad breakouts and I don't want to make it worse, so tend to just wear it at occasions. Anyway here is my 5 favourite products :)
 

So first off is my foundation. It took me a while to find the right foundation for my skin, as I used to wear powdered foundation and that just made my skin look flaky. Then I was in Superdrug one day and thought I would try this Matte Foundation from Make Up Academy, the shade is Honeycomb which is perfect for my skin tone. This particular one is £2 and I do use a primer under it from the same range. I love this as it leaves my skin feeling so soft and it makes my skin look amazing and shall I say it.....flawless!! I would definitely recommend it :)
 

 
Second is my Bronzer from Make Up Academy, I can't remember how much this was as I bought it for the Wedding. I've never used bronzer before and thought I would give it a go. Its in Shade 2 and from Superdrug and to be honest when you put it on its not to dark which is nice because obviously I didn't want to look to dark in my wedding photos. It goes on very easily which is nice, especially when contouring and just giving myself a general glow :)
 

 
Third is my Blush from Make Up Academy, do you see a theme here ha ha? This is in Shade Bon Bon and again from Superdrug. Surprisingly this goes very well with my skin tone and blends in well with my bronzer. I didn't want a to bright blusher so this was perfect and the same as my bronzer it goes on really well :)
 
 
Fourth is my Eye-shadow Pencil from Jillian Dempsey for Avon and I'm not sure how much it is as I came across it in one of my drawers. It is double ended as it has a cheek and lip pencil the other end but I rarely use that end. Its a Golden Brown and I use this all the time, for my everyday look as well as if I'm going to parties, I love it that much.
 


 
Lastly is my lipstick!! This is from the Everlasting range of Avon and is in shade Pink Peach :) Now I have never been one to wear lipstick before, I never used to like it, but all of a sudden I just love wearing it :) My lips are not to dark but they're not to light so it goes really well on :) I do notice though if I have had it on a while it does make my lips look cracked and dried out, so I tend to top it up every now and again. I don't wear this all the time but sometimes when I wear it I do put a little bit of Barry M clear lipgloss on top, just to give it an extra shine :)

What's In My Shower Bag?

Hey Guys!!!

Hope you're all ok and enjoying your week so far :)

So I was sat here thinking what have I not seen yet, as we've seen What's In My Handbag? & What's In My Makeup Bag? tags but what about What's In My Shower Bag? So here we go, here is what is in my shower bag :)

So my shower bag I got because I needed a new shower bag for my honeymoon :) I seen this in Primark and fell in love with it as I loved the pattern and the colours, I also loved the size as I tend to use quite a lot of products when I'm away and just in general :) This particular one was £4 and I happen to have the matching makeup bag :) which you will see soon :)


So first off I just have my usual Eeyore flannel that I always use for holidays and have had it for years (don't worry it does get washed) so I'm not sure where its from. Then I have my contact lenses for when I want to wear them, which is not very often haha Of course I have my toothbrush holder which keeps it clean and doesn't get any lotions etc. on it. Then a must have which are my replacement razor blades for when they need replacing :)


Then I have my self tanning mitt which I actually haven't used yet as (touch wood) my tan hasn't faded yet, but I don't use self tan, like Fake Bake, I use tinted moisturiser. I got this from Primark and I think it was about £1, so a total bargain :) I then also have my exfoliating gloves which I use in the shower, bath and when moisturising :) I love using these as my skin always feels gorgeous afterwards and I always feel extra clean after using them :)


These are the products that I use regularly and also the products I love :) So I will go from left to right so you know what I'm talking about :) So I have Herbal Essences Shampoo as this is the only product I can use on my hair as for some reason nothing else seems to work or clean my hair properly, so I always use this now :) the smell is also gorgeous when using this, so I always have nice smelling hair :)

Then I have Ted Baker Body Fragrance spray which I use for a little spritz when I'm about to go out or sometimes I do take it with me to freshen up through the day, the smell is absolutely divine and is, I would say, a bit floral and summery, so its definitely a good spray to use in the summer :)

I then have hair removal cream from Avon Cosmetics which I use for the tops of my legs as the tops of my legs tend to be sensitive to a razor so it is better for me to use a hair removal cream :)

I then use my tinted moisturiser which is Dove Summer Glow for Fair to Medium Skin which is fantastic, as I used it for my Wedding to give me a bit of colour and after about 2 uses it went quite dark, so I definitely recommend this for winter if you want to have a bit of colour or if you want to keep your tan going from a holiday :) It is a bit expensive but I managed to find it when it was on offer in Boots at £2.49 and luckily I had some Boots points and used them. I actually only started using this as my friends sister recommended it, so its definitely a must have in my eyes :)

Then last but not least my shower gel :) I am currently using Palmolives Naturals in Pampering Touch which has Coconut and Moisturising Milk :) It smells absolutely gorgeous and is rather silky compared to other shower gels that I have used. It definitely does what it says on the tin with the moisturising aspect as my skin feels so soft afterwards especially as I use my exfoliating gloves to wash with :) I can't actually remember where I got this but I think I got it while it was on offer as I bought 4 of them haha
