Paris Trip - Beauty

Friday, 11 September 2015

Hey Guys!!

As you may know, or if you don't know, I am going to be travelling to Paris in less than 2 weeks. To say I am excited is an understatement!! I've always loved the idea of seeing the Eiffel Tower, seeing the Mona Lisa and just eating in some fancy places.

Because of this trip I thought I would share with you what I am taking, Beauty, Fashion and other general things I am taking. As you can see by the title I am going to share with you my Beauty products that I am taking. I must say some of them I have to put into 100ml bottles as we are only travelling with a carry on.

If any of this I'm not able to take let me know in the comments below as I am so confused as to what I can/can't take. So the products I am taking are:

Cotton Pads
Cleansing Scrub
Toner Pads
Correcting Lotion
Toothbrush

I'm also trying to work out what make up needs to be in a clear bottle, etc. again any help/tips would be grateful, just leave them in the comments :) I'm just taking minimal make up as I don't want to take to much and again I'm not really sure what I can take.

Eyeliner
Eyeshadow Pencil
Supershock Max Mascara

So these are all the products that I am taking obviously liquid wise I have to workout what needs to go into clear bottles. I have linked as many of the products as I can find links for if any of you would like to try them.

Hope You Enjoyed This Post!!

Skincare Routine Updated

Friday, 28 August 2015

Hey Guys!!

Another skincare routine post from me!! I think I am constantly updating my routine but now I think I have finally found one that I can stick to for a long time.

My morning routine is different to my night routine as I needed one for the morning that wasn't to long as I get up early for work.

These are the only 2 products I use in the morning and is always the first thing I do before anything. I use a round cotton pad to apply the Micellar Water all over my face and neck, you can see my review on this HERE. Then I apply the moisturiser all over my face once the water has been absorbed by my skin. You can get both these items HERE and HERE.

In the night then I use 3 different products, which unfortunately I don't have any links to. The good thing about these is that they have the numbers on them so you know which order to use them in. First I use the Exfoliating Scrub all over my face and wash it off with lukewarm water. This has little blue 'beads' in them so you can feel your skin being exfoliated. Once I've patted dry my face I then go all over my face and neck with a Toner Pad and it always surprises me how much dirt there is even though I wash regularly. Then to finish off I use 2 pumps of the Serum all over my face to moisturise and to stop any break outs.

Also twice a week, on a Sunday and Wednesday, I put on this Mask of Magnaminty before I do any of my cleansing. This is the best mask I have used to date as I've used masks before and they have burnt my skin. It smells gorgeous and also you can feel it working on your skin, I can't really explain the feeling to be honest. I love it though, as my skin always looks and feels a lot healthier after using it.

That is my Skincare Routine, hopefully it won't change now as I have finally got my skin looking healthy. It also helps I drink a lot more water than I used to.

What is your favourite skincare product?

Review: Simple Micellar Water

Wednesday, 5 August 2015

Hey Guys!!

If any of you don't know I love the Simple range as it is so good for my skin. My skin is very sensitive and I can't use very harsh products at all, I end up looking like a tomato.

Anyway I had noticed that a lot of  bloggers having been using different  Micellar waters and I wanted to try one myself. Then as if by magic Simple brought out their own product, so of course I had to get it to try.

I got mine from Superdrug for £2.99, HERE is a link if you'd like to try it.

I love this a lot, it is great for taking off make up, especially eye make up and it leaves my skin feeling so hydrated and soft. It is literally just like wiping water over your face, the good thing as well is that it's not harsh on my skin. What is also nice about this product is that it doesn't leave my skin feeling oily at all. You can't beat the price of this as well as it's such a bargain so could buy 2 at a time if you wanted to.

I actually incorporate this into my morning routine now and use it everyday. I definitely recommend this product to anyone with sensitive skin as it's perfect for that.

Do you use a Micellar Water?

My Go To Make-up Look

Friday, 31 July 2015

Hey Guys!!

When I was in high school I was never really into make-up and it took me a long time before I actually took an interest. I think I was about 16/17 and in college when I started trying it out and then of course when I started to go to a lot more parties and things I used to mess around with different looks. Then come to now that I am blogging I am very much addicted to make-up and trying new things all the time.

I think I have never really worn it much as my Mum has always been about us loving how we look and not necessarily needing make-up all the time. I definitely stick to that and rarely wear it but when I do wear it this is usually what I wear, it does change depending on weather and what look I am trying.

First I always put on a primer, the primer I use is the Undress Your Skin Flawless Skin Primer (£5) This has an oily consistency to it but is the perfect base to put foundation onto or to wear alone. I then put on the Pro-Base Argan Plush Concealer (£3) in Natural under my eyes and on any spots or marks I may have. Then I go onto use the Matte Perfect Shine Control Foundation (£2) also in Natural. This is a great foundation and I definitely don't get any shine from it, but I do think I need a lighter shade as sometimes it looks a bit dark on me. I then finish off with Matte Perfect Loose Translucent Powder (£2.30) to set my foundation, I always worry powder makes it look cakey but it actually looks really good and not cakey at all.

I then highlight with the Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder (£3) in Iridescant Gold. I usually put this down the bridge of my nose and on my cheeks. Then I put on the Make-Up Academy Bronzer (£1) in Shade 3 either side of my nose, my cheekbones and temples.

For my eyes I use all Avon Cosmetics make-up which I can not seem to find the links for. I use the Professional Multi-Pencil on my eyelids, Avon doesn't actually sell this anymore. Then I use the Colortrend Pencil Eyeliner in Black on my bottom and top waterline. Once I have done that I then finish off with the Supershock Mascara in Black on my top lashes as I never put mascara on my bottom ones.

I also don't have the links to these either as the Lip Crayon came as part of a gift set and the Lipstick is from Avon. I have recently started putting a paler colour on underneath as it makes the Red stand out a lot more. So yeah, I put the pale pink onto my lips first and then add the Ruby Red lipstick on top, it takes me a few tries as sometimes it bleeds and sometimes it doesn't, just all depends on the day.

And that's it!! As you can see it doesn't look to over the top, it actually looks quite natural, I think. Of course the red lip gives it that pop of colour which I am obsessed with. This is the look I tend to go with 8/10 times to be honest as I usually don't have the time to try something different.

Do you have a go to look? Do you have any products you'd recommend?

My Holiday Soapbag

Wednesday, 13 May 2015

Hey Guys!!

I am off on holiday this Saturday so thought it was appropriate to share with you what I am taking in my soapbag/toiletries bag. I'm surprised that these are all the products I take, knowing me though I will add to this before Saturday.

First off this is the toiletry bag I will be using, I always use this one as it is cute and it fits everything in which is a positive.

The first products I always add are my shampoo and conditioner. At the moment Tea Tree seems to be cleaning my hair properly as my hair goes through stages where it doesn't clean properly with certain shampoos and conditioners. Luckily this has been working for a while now and leaves my hair so soft and smelling gorgeous.

Secondly I add my cleansing products, I have updated my cleansing routine by adding the Mask of Magnaminty face mask, I will be doing an updated post soon. These products seem to be working on my skin but we shall see when I do my updated post.

I then add my shower gel, I love this shower gel as it leaves my skin so soft and it smells lovely. Its actually good for my skin as I can get very dry skin sometimes.

I then add in my toothbrush, which is new, toothpaste, moisturiser/tanning lotion, razor and flannel. It's not pictured but I will be taking a tanning mitt so my hands don't turn orange.

I hope you enjoyed this post!!

Matalan & Superdrug Haul

Friday, 1 May 2015

Hey Guys!!

My Mum invited me out shopping on Wednesday with my sisters and grandparents, so of course I said yeah why not!!

Me and Chloe first went into Superdrug and Wilkinsons where I picked up some make up items and also some baking items.

So in Wilkinsons I got a Letter Press Set to help me expand with my baking and my cupcakes, I'm so looking forward to using them. I also got some more cupcake cases and they also came with little toppers. You can get both items HERE and HERE.

In Superdrug I did splurge a little on the make up front. I have been wanting to try out a few more pallets and of course I always use MUA, I do want to try some other make up though soon. I picked up these three pallets that I don't have yet, these are Spring Break, Dusk til Dawn and Glitterball. I can't wait to try these out. You can get each of these pallets HERE, HERE and HERE. I also picked up some Micellar Water as I have seen a lot of people use it from different brands and thought why not give it a go. You can get this HERE. The make up bag was free as they have a promotional offer across make up in store.

I picked up this skirt as I wanted something different to my usual black skirts that I get. The material I feel is the scuba material, that's what it feels like anyway. I am not 100% on whether I will keep it as its not my usual style I go for.

I have been interested in getting wedged trainers for a while but haven't found a nice pair that is just neutral. I then came across these and tried them on in store as I wasn't sure whether I would get them or not. I actually got these in a size 3 which is not my usual size, I can't wait to wear these properly.

I ended up also buying these, I am slightly obsessed with shoes, I can't tell you how many I actually own. I like these as they are slightly cowboy styled but are suede and I love the little heel to them. I also can't wait to style some outfits with them and show you some outfit posts.

I love kimonos and I thought this one was perfect to go with my others. This one is extra long and is on trend with the tassels, very festival/boho I think :) I think this will go perfect with wedges or heels and is perfect for the Summer.

I also love very much night shirts. This is just a normal cotton shirt and will be lovely cool if the hot weather comes back. Its just such a nice alternative to a night dress or short pyjamas.

Unfortunatley the items I bought from Matalan I can't link as we only have a clearance store not a proper store.

I hope you enjoyed this little post!!

LUSH Haul

Wednesday, 1 April 2015

Hey Guys!!

I realised I only had one LUSH bath bomb left!! So thought I would stock up on one or two more. Also Chloe had got a bath bomb she didn't like so we are swapping one. I decided to get 2 different bath bombs this time that I have yet to try.

The first one is Phoenix Rising, I have actually seen a video on this one and it looks amazing. I also love the fact it smells of cinnamon and I am obsessed with anything that smells of cinnamon!! I really can't wait to try this!!

The second one I got is from the Easter collection, Chloe also has one. This is called Golden Egg of course, it is very glittery and can see the bath being covered in gold glitter. According to the website it is toffee scented and full of cocoa butter which is amazing on my skin. I may have to keep this one for Easter!!

This item is actually a repurchase as Llewellyn got me this for Christmas and I must say it has done wonders for my skin. As you can see it is called Mask of Magnaminty and it smells gorgeous, I would happily eat it if I could!! I would definitely recommend this if you get bad breakouts like I do sometimes!!

I will do reviews on them all when I use them so you get to look forward to that. Also I have included all links if you wanted to try these items yourselves.

Hope you enjoyed this post!!

Review: MUA Undress Your Skin Flawless Skin Primer

Wednesday, 25 March 2015

Hey Guys!!

I have been quite good with trying new things when it comes to make-up and new looks, etc. I wanted to try out a new primer as I was getting a bit bored used to the one I already have, so of course I ended up on the internet!!

I actually seen this on the MUA website which you can go to HERE if you fancy a nose around. What's great about this Primer is it is only £5 which I think is a bargain!!

It is only a small bottle but out of 1 'squirt' it covers my whole face perfectly. What I didn't realise about this is that it is oil based so it leaves my skin feeling very velvety, soft, as it says on the bottle.

I have been using this a while now and this is definitely going to be my go to Primer from now on.

If you would like to try this out yourself you can purchase it HERE or in any Superdrug store.

I hope you enjoyed this little review!!

LUSH Bath ox

Friday, 13 February 2015

Hey Guys!!

Once again I decided to combine my favourite Candy Mountain with another of my bath bombs. I now only have one left of my bath bombs, which makes me so sad!! May have to order some more.

I used the Dashing Santa this time, I was a little disappointed as it didn't dash around the bath it just sank to the bottom.

The colour was like a very pale orange and then slowly, not to be rude, looked a bit like a pee colour when you're not hydrated enough.

I must say though I got a lot of bubbles out of a small amount of the Candy Mountain.

As usual my skin felt amazing afterwards and there wasn't much of a scent to me personally. I like it though and would order it again at Christmas time.

I Hope You Enjoyed This Little Review!!

LUSH Bath ox

Friday, 6 February 2015

Hey Guys!!

It was that time of the week again where I have a nice, relaxing, hot bath and of course cracked out my LUSH products.

This time I used the Candy Mountain Bubble Bar and Bear Bath Bomb.

I actually cut the Candy Mountain in half as I like to get a few baths out of it. It made the water go nice and bubbly, it always amazes me how many bubbles come from just half :)

I then popped in the bath bomb. It didn't colour the water at all but I must say because it had Cocoa Butter as one of the ingredients, my skin was so soft and looked so healthy.

I don't know whether I would get the bear again as I do like the bath bombs that turns the water a different colour. I will definitely get the Candy Mountain Bubble Bar again as this is the 2nd one I have had and I love it :)

Hope You Enjoyed This Quick Little Post!!

Looking After Your Feet ox

Monday, 26 January 2015

Hey Guys!!

Last Wednesday me and some of my family decided to have a little pamper morning. We were going to go to an actual Salon/Spa but thought why not use the stuff we actually own.

We all took our Foot Spa's and Chloe brought her nail varnishes to do some of their nails. I thought from this I would share with you the items I used.

The first thing I done was fill up my foot spa with warm water and put in Scholl Velvet Smooth Foot Soak. You only need to put a small amount in as it bubbles up a lot, which I found out and you can see in the picture.

I kept my feet in there for about 20/30 minutes and to be fair my feet felt so soft. I then put on some foot moisturiser which was the Avon Footworks Cherry Ice Moisturising Lotion. I don't actually know if Avon still do this as it's quite an old one and it was my Mums'. This smelt so nice and my feet felt even softer than just having them in the foot spa.

I've decided now that I am going to incorporate this with my Sunday night pampering, you can see my post on that here. I have a terrible problem of not actually looking after my feet so I'm definitely going to make this a habit.

I hope you enjoyed this post!!

Sunday Pamper Routine ox

Friday, 16 January 2015

Hey Guys!!

It felt like it had been a very long week, last week so decided I wanted to have a bit of relaxation and pamper myself a bit. From this I have decided I am going to do this every week as everybody needs a bit of R&R, don't they?

The first thing I do is pick out some music to listen to, at the moment I am obsessed with Ed Sheeran X and seriously can not stop listening to it. He has such an amazing voice and I like to think I am dueting with him!! Please tell me I'm not the only one that does this?

I then also decide on a book to read as I love reading in the bath, as well as singing to everyone in the house!! At the moment I am reading Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, I've only just started it so haven't really got any thoughts on it yet.

I also decide on what products I am going to use, I think I follow Mum as I have so many different toiletry/beauty products I could open my own shop. I must note I do all this while my bath runs as it takes ages for my bath to run.

Once my bath has run I then light some candles, also as you can see my bath water is pink as I used a LUSH bath bomb, which you can see the review of that HERE. At the moment I am using my Yankee Candle tealights in the scent of Cinnamon. I love Cinnamon!!

Then once I have finished in the bath and have removed my face mask, which I will be doing a review on soon, I get into some cosy pyjamas. These ones are a pair I had for Christmas from Llewellyn and I am sure they are from Primark as I did point them out to him. They are so soft and warm it's unbelievable and I'm also a die hard Disney fan!!

To say I am nice and relaxed then is an understatement, but I then either sit in bed and read some more or I just go to sleep depending on how tired I am. This is now my weekly routine on a Sunday as it gets me refreshed and ready for the week ahead.

Do You Guys Have A Set Pamper Day?

I hope you enjoyed this post!!

Think Pink ox

Wednesday, 14 January 2015

Hey Guys!!

On Sunday I decided to have a pamper evening, which there will be a post going up on Friday of it. Anyway I wanted to use one of my LUSH bath bombs that I had for Christmas as I did have a few.

I always find it hard to pick one so decided on the one my Mum got me called Think Pink. I have never used this one before so was intrigued as to what it would be like. The smell was gorgeous and came across floral and sweet to me.

I put it in once I had completely run my bath. It fizzed away quite quickly and left behind little hearts, the smell still lingered which was nice as it made me feel relaxed. With the colour of the water I was a little disappointed as I was expecting it to go really pink but I still liked it. Once I got out of the bath my skin felt so soft and I would get it again but I wouldn't rush to get it.

Have you used this one before?

I hope you enjoyed this little review!!
