Hey Guys!!

This week I was out and about more instead of just sitting inside or being in work which I enjoyed tremendously, I get a bit stir crazy!!

Loving - New clothes have been the thing I have been loving this week as I received a parcel with some new things I wanted to try out to spice up my usual fashion. As you can see from the 3 clothing pictures I have joined the 'Timberland' trend and just loved my outfits from the week.

Blogging - I have really enjoyed Blogging this week as I actually managed a full week of posts as I seemed to have so much to write about, also really enjoyed the photography side of it to.

Films - I finally got around to watching The Perks of Being a Wallflower, yes I know get with the times, but I really enjoyed the book and wanted to watch it. If like me you take a long time to actually get round to watching things I would definitely recommend it I loved it.

Hope you enjoyed this weeks InstaLately!!

Matalan Haul

Friday 27 March 2015

Hey Guys!!

A week or so back me, my mum and sisters thought we would pop along to our nearest Matalan which is the clearance Matalan. I wasn't actually planning on buying anything as normally when I'm looking for something I can never find anything. This particular time I found some nice things that I think will go well for Spring/Summer.

Lets Begin!!

I love denim and already own a denim jacket but I wanted something that would be nice to wear with strap tops, shorts and possibly dresses. Me and my sister then came across this little beauty so we both got one. I got a size 8 in this but wasn't sure whether it would fit around my boobs properly but it does fit perfectly.

Next was this lovely, thin, pink shirt, though you can't really see in this lighting that it's pink. I have actually wore this and it was so comfortable and it's really light to wear. I did have to wear a top underneath though as it is more see through than you think.

Surprisingly with all the clothes I own, I don't own very many evening tops, just mostly dresses. When I seen this I thought this would go perfect with a pair of jeans or wet look leggings. I was going to get the pale pink one but thought no go for something different and actually get a coloured one.

I have been very into checked shirts lately and also oversized shirts, I think they are perfect for the crossover into Spring. They will look great on top of a vest top with jeans or with leggings and also in the summer they will look great with shorts and a pair of cowboy style boots.

This colour is absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait to wear it, though I'm not quite sure what/when I will. It's just your normal strapped top but more of an evening time wear I would say, as it is that chiffon style material.

I also picked up this cute white blouse, it is buttoned up and got a 'tie up' style bit at the top of the buttons. I am planning to wear this next weekend for Church and a family meal. I may have to wear a top under this also as I am not sure how see through it is once on.

Then lastly I picked up this onesie, which I actually wasn't going to get but being the crazy Disney fan I am I did. I have worn this and it is lovely and thin which means I don't get to hot when sleeping in it. Also the length is actually perfect on this as some onesies I have are way to long for me. I also love the little Bambi's as they look like they've been drawn straight onto the fabric.

I will be doing outfit posts on all of these items once I wear them and will go into more detail then of what they feel/look like.

Hope you enjoyed this little haul!!

Review: MUA Undress Your Skin Flawless Skin Primer

Wednesday 25 March 2015

Hey Guys!!

I have been quite good with trying new things when it comes to make-up and new looks, etc. I wanted to try out a new primer as I was getting a bit bored used to the one I already have, so of course I ended up on the internet!!

I actually seen this on the MUA website which you can go to HERE if you fancy a nose around. What's great about this Primer is it is only £5 which I think is a bargain!!

It is only a small bottle but out of 1 'squirt' it covers my whole face perfectly. What I didn't realise about this is that it is oil based so it leaves my skin feeling very velvety, soft, as it says on the bottle.

I have been using this a while now and this is definitely going to be my go to Primer from now on.

If you would like to try this out yourself you can purchase it HERE or in any Superdrug store.

I hope you enjoyed this little review!!

Planet Vikki Recommends....New Inn

Tuesday 24 March 2015

Hey Guys!!

On Sunday we all went out as a family for some food to celebrate Nans' 65th Birthday. It was Nans' choice of course where we went to eat and she picked a restaurant that we've been to before and loved, it's a little place called The New Inn.

The New Inn is situated along Chepstow Road in Langstone, it's a lovely building. Outside is all white with an outdoor area with picnic style tables and benches and lots of flowers around. It's perfect to sit out on a lovely sunny day and enjoy a drink or two. Attached to the restaurant is also a play area for the children which is the Wacky Warehouse and also has a motel and Spa. If you do want to see pictures or look at the website you can click HERE.

As you can see from above there is a lot on the menu and I always find it so hard to decide on what to eat, as I like to try something new but also like to eat the same. They have a wide variety of burgers, steaks, pastas and your usual 'pub grub'.

For my starter I had the Loaded Potato Skins which have bacon, cheese and a small pot of BBQ sauce. I always have these as Llewellyn got me to try them a while ago and I fell in love with them. They are so delicious, although make sure they are not hot when you go to eat them as I nearly burnt my mouth on Sunday. They don't fill you to much either which is nice as you don't want to go into your mains full.

My mains then I had my usual Chicken New Yorker, which consists of chicken, bacon and BBQ sauce with cheese on top. As you can see it also comes with chips, peas and 2 pieces of garlic bread. I always enjoy this as I love chicken and BBQ sauce, it definitely fills you the right amount.

I went for a different dessert this time as normally I have the fudge cake but this time had the Millionaires Shortbread Sundae. This was absolutely gorgeous, you had whipped cream on the top with flakes and then layers of shortbread, ice cream and chocolate sauce. It tasted amazing, although it did get a bit sickly after a bit so I couldn't eat it all unfortunately.

Overall I would definitely recommend this place if you are ever in the area and are finding somewhere to eat. It's very family friendly and just has a nice friendly atmosphere about the whole place.

I hope you enjoyed this post as its a bit different to what I normally write but I am going to do this little 'series' whenever I go somewhere that I think you guys would like.

Hey Guys!!

This week has been a pretty busy week as I have been in work a lot, I have also been Blog planning and as you can see have changed the layout of my blog. Other than that I have not really been up to a lot this week.

Music - I am obsessed with Ellie Goulding - Love Me Like You Do at the moment, I literally am listening to it all the time!! Think Llewellyn may actually be getting sick of me singing along to it!!

Feeling - I have been feeling quite 'accomplished' if that's the right word to use as I feel like I'm really enjoying blogging at the moment and also I am really enjoying vlogging to!! I feel like I've finally reached a place where I know what I want to write about and can put passion behind what I am saying.

Netflix - As I have finished watching Pretty Little Liars, I didn't have anything else to watch so Chloe recommended The Office (US) and I have just finished Season 3. I have never laughed so much watching a program before, it is so funny, Dwight I would say is my favourite character!!

Hope You Enjoyed This Post!!

Red Velvet Cupcakes ox

Wednesday 18 March 2015

Hey Guys!!

Last Friday I decided I wanted to do some baking as I am starting to feel stir crazy and really need a hobby of some kind. Baking, to be honest, is the only thing that I really enjoy doing in my spare time, other than reading of course.

Anyway lets begin!!

As you can see I used a Betty Crocker mix and all I needed was 3 eggs, water and vegetable oil. I then used Cream Cheese Icing, Maltesers and Chocolate sprinkles to decorate.

First I poured in the mix and 205ml of water.

I then added in the 65ml of Vegetable Oil.

Next I then put in the 3 eggs.

I then mixed it in my mixer on number 1 for 3 minutes until it looked like the above.

Before

After
I then put them in the oven, which I had preheated to 160 degrees, and left them in for 30 minutes. I then waited for them to cool down and decorated them.

It was so fun making cupcakes like this as usually I only make them and I don't decorate them as I am usually only trying out a new recipe or something.

I hope you enjoyed this little baking post!!

Monday 16 March 2015

Hey Guys!!

I have been a bit on the quiet side lately as have had serious writers' block and just haven't had any inspiration to write. Sat here though today reading other blogs and just generally thinking about what I could do to boost the blog again, I came up with this series. I actually started doing this sort of thing a while back so I am refreshing it and doing it a bit differently.

I'm just going to share with you what I've been feeling, loving, finding inspiring and whatever happens through the week, so it will be different every week. Lets kick it off then with this weeks InstaLately!!

Loving - I am loving my hair at the moment. It is just the right length that I can do certain styles and thought I would try out a half up half down bun hairdo. It was a bit Zoella inspired as I seen a video of hers and she had this hairstyle.

Feeling - I have been feeling very lucky lately to have such an amazing husband and we have had such a great week together just chilling out and enjoying each others company.

Food - I baked some Red Velvet cupcakes this week and they were/are so delicious, I literally can't stop eating them, oopps!!

So that concludes my week, I am looking forward to keeping this going, however I am not always great at keeping things up but I am determined to.
