Outfit Of The Day 11th Jan

Hey Guys!!

 

Yesterday night was the first party of the year for me, which I attended with my sister :) It was my friends Mums 40th so knew that her family would be there so wanted to wear something smart yet was for a night out :) This is what I came up with :)

There we have it :) It was a very lightweight outfit as the material on all the items isn't very heavy at all which made it very comfortable to wear. What you can't see in the picture is I am also wearing 'pop' socks which makes it so comfortable with my shoes :)

My New Channel

Hey Guys!!

 

So if you seen my post yesterday you will know that I have a weekly channel :) Well after I did the post I put it under construction as I want it to link in with my blog, so I needed a new channel name and URL :)

 

So after doing it for hours yesterday and today I can finally say its done :)

 

And here it is

I have given it the same name as my blog so it definitely all links in and there will be videos every Sunday :)

Hey Guys!!!

 

As you all know I have two YouTube Channels

 

TheVikkiHale

&

TheVikkiHaleWeekly (under a revamp)

 

I am in the process of possibly changing the names of my Channels as I'm not sure about them now, as I think I want something a bit more catchy and memorable!!

 

Anywho I wanted to find out from you lovely followers or whoever reads this post, what you guys like when it comes to content.

 

My first channel TheVikkiHale is my vlogging channel so this is the channel where I film, edit and upload everyday. Sometimes its interesting, but because I also have a job sometimes its not so interesting, but I still make sure I upload some footage even if it is just me rambling on!! I must also say I do love vlogging and I do also love watching vlogging channels such as The Shaytards, BFvsGF and CTFxC!!

So what I want to know is

Do you guys enjoy watching vlogging channels?

If you do, do you mind if its not always interesting or do you like something interesting more often?

 

My second channel TheVikkiHaleWeekly is as you can tell by the name my weekly channel, where I upload videos such as baking, DIY, hauls, during certain months they're themed, i.e. Christmas, Easter, etc. I also film these in better quality as I use a DSLR camera not my vlogging camera.

What I would like to know is

What sort of things do you like to see with these sorts of Channels?

Is there anything you would like to see, i.e. beauty hauls, reviews, etc.?

 

I am asking these questions as I want to be making decent, quality content that you guys are going to watch, as I want to make the most of my channels this year, as it is also coming up a year that I have been vlogging and want to keep doing it whether its to 10 viewers or 100 viewers, I love every second of it. I would just like to know what you guys think :)

Personal Goals For 2014

 

Hey Guys!!

 

I have been sat here for the past couple of days thinking what do I want to achieve with my life this year and what personal goals I want to complete :) I know there are a lot of goals posts but I do enjoy reading them as it gives me inspiration to achieve my own goals :)

 

I know I already done a post on my goals for the year, which you can read HERE but I ended up thinking of some more :)

 

So here it goes more goals to add to my list :)

 

1. Be Happier & Enjoy Myself I want to be able to be happy within myself as sometimes I have days where I don't want to get out of bed which completely sucks, so I'm going to have positive quotes around the flat and tell myself something positive as I wake up, even if it's as simple as 'Today's Going To Be A Good Day'

 

2. Get Back Into A Sleeping Pattern My plan for this is to be in bed by 10:30pm at the latest and then to be up at 6:30am and that works out to 8 hours sleep, hopefully then I will start feeling more refreshed in the mornings

 

3. Make More Time For Friends This year I have lost friends, but I still have 2 amazing friends that I hardly see as we are either working or we are busy, so I want to make time to just pop to their houses or go out for meals and just generally hang out with each other 

 

4. Have More Date Nights With Llewellyn This is because Llewellyn has 2 jobs so when he gets nights off we tend to want to spend time with each other, so I'd like for us to go for meals, have days out and one thing I want us to do is go for picnics I the summer

 

I'm very determined this year to achieve these goals as I want to make the most of these times as you do only have one life and you have to make the most of it :) cheesy I know :) I also hope this post gives you some inspiration as many of these type posts have given me :)

A Simple Vanilla Sponge & Cupcakes

Hey Guys!!

 

Happy New Year to you all!! I know its a bit late but I haven't said it to all you lovely followers yet :)

 

The 1st Jan in our household means its my darling Husbands birthday so I decided to make him a cake instead of going to a store and buying him one. I also think by baking him one more thought goes into it and he can appreciate it more. I used the usual Vanilla cupcake recipe that I always use lately as it tastes so nice and smells gorgeous which you can go to HERE and have a go at baking it/them yourselves :)

 

So here it goes

 

This is the recipe I followed

These are the ingredients



 

First off I weighed the butter out and the caster sugar into a silver mixing bowl and creamed it together. I then added one egg and mixed that in, then added the 2nd egg and mixed that together. I then added the Vanilla Essence.

 

 

After I mixed all of it together I then weighed in half of the flour and folded that into the mix, then put in 1tbs of milk and mixed that together. I then put the 2nd half of flour in and the 2nd tbs of milk and mixed it altogether until it was nice and thick & 'creamy'.

 



 

I then poured it into a silicone mould and baked it for 15 minutes.

 

 

Once it had baked I baked 2 rectangles but have only shown one also in between them baking I made cupcakes and cooled down it was then time to decorate it. I used Chocolate Fudge icing, Silver Edible spray, chocolate stars, strawberry jam and an icing 'pen'. All pictured below.

 

 

The first thing I did was put a layer of strawberry jam on the one sponge, you can do it however thick you like and then put the top sponge on. Once that was done it was a matter of putting the Chocolate Fudge icing on, which I ended up getting in a mess with haha

 

 

Once it was completely iced it was then time to spray it silver, I'd never used this spray before but seen other people use it so wanted to try it. It came out lush, you could really see it shining and the whole cake looked metallic :) I then wrote Happy Birthday on it in blue icing and put candles all around it :)

 

 

As I said above I also made some cupcakes :)

Goals For 2014

Hey Guys!!!

 

So it is now 2014 and that means people will be thinking of things they want to do and also what goals they want to achieve :)

 

I will admit my New Year goal for 2013 was to get fit and eat healthily, but that lasted for about 3 weeks :( I am going to do that this year but its not my 2014 goal as I find that it puts more pressure on me achieving it :(

 

So my goals are as follows:

 

1. Make sure I Vlog everyday, even if I'm not doing a lot

 

2. Make sure I blog regularly and plan in advance

 

3. Get on top of my health as that is very important to me

 

And that is it 3 easy goals that are not to difficult to achieve and can be reached by the end of the year :)

 

I will check in regularly on here to let you know how I get on as it will also help me keep on top of my goals :)
