Feeling Sexy!!

Wednesday, 3 August 2016

Hey Guys!!

As you can see from the title of this post it is a bit of a different one for me as I have never really wrote about how I make myself feel sexy, if that's the right choice of words. It wasn't until an opportunity came my way from Adore Me who are currently running a flat lay campaign that is promoting the belief that all women should be able to feel sexy.

Now I don't know about you but it doesn't matter if you are a size 8 or a size 28 we all have days where we don't feel our sexiest or that confident. A good way to start on a day like this is maybe to pick out your favourite piece of lingerie and work it!! Well Adore Me do a fab selection of bras and pants that are absolutely gorgeous and will definitely be getting some myself. Also what is great is that they have a gorgeous plus-size selection which you can have a nose at if you like, because like I said it doesn't matter if you are an 8 or 28 you can still feel gorgeous!! I always find when I put on my favourite piece underneath whatever it is I am wearing I feel 10 times more confident. The idea of having this gorgeous lingerie on and only you knowing that you are wearing it seems to make me hold my head that bit higher and feel that bit more confident.

So when you feel your confidence swaying a bit, throw those Bridget Jones pants to the side and pull out that lacey set you haven't worn yet!! Every now and then us women need to give ourselves a little self love as that's the most important thing and is the only thing that matters. Don't we all deserve a little self love now and again? The above flat lay is my favourite lingerie and if I'm not feeling that confident it's the first thing I head for. Adore Me's instagram has some beautiful images that really show this!! You can also head over to my Instagram where you can see this image and many more!! You should also check out their Pinterest as there is so much inspiration and you can also keep up to date with their latest content.

I hope you enjoyed this post!!

What's your go to for a little self love?

Hey Guys!!

This week has made me feel so positive and just feel like everything is in a really good place. I have been blogging so much and have so many ideas planned, I have been finding new blogs to read and bloggers to stalk (just kidding I don't stalk anyone, much! LOL!), I have also been loving all the time I have been spending with family lately. Just overall it has been such an amazing week and I am feeling really positive.

Bristol Zoo Gardens

Wednesday, 13 July 2016

Hey Guys!!

I love Zoo's, I don't know why, I can just remember from a small age I have always loved them. I am pretty sure Bristol Zoo Gardens was the first one I ever went to and so started my love.

Me and Llewellyn actually had our first proper date there, we had met a few times before that but Bristol Zoo was our first one. So 7 and a half years later for our Anniversary we decided to go back to where we 'started' and had such a fab day.

I love seeing all the different animals and I just love spending time with Llewellyn so combine the two and it really was just awesome. I'm not going to ramble on to much as it was a case of driving roughly 30 mins to get there and then walking round looking at the animals, having some lunch and coming home. So I shall leave you with some pics!!

All the photos' are courtesy of Llewellyn.

What do you think of Zoos?

Afternoon Tea at the Celtic Manor

Friday, 8 July 2016

Hey Guys!!

If you have seen my post from Wednesday you will have seen that we celebrated our 3rd Anniversary. We wanted to do something a bit different and also something we may not have done before. So we had a scan of the internet and came across the website for the Celtic Manor and ended up deciding on going there for Afternoon Tea.

I have never been to the Celtic Manor, even though it is literally 5/10 minutes down the road from me, and have also never done Afternoon Tea. When we got there I was so impressed by the Reception area, with its Dragons carved into the pillars, I assume they were carved and they had a beautiful table with all these pretty pink flowers.

We got there slightly early so sat in a waiting area and had a drink as we were having Afternoon Tea in The Olive Tree restaurant and had a table reserved for 1pm. I was just so impressed by the whole experience as the staff were so nice and helpful, and checked if everything was alright with our food. We had the Summer Berry Afternoon Tea which runs from 20th June until September.

When they brought it out I thought it was so adorable and I couldn't wait to try a macaroon, as I have never had one before and have always wanted to try one. I think I did very well in trying some of the items as I'm not a very fruit eating person. I did really like the Jammie Dodger shortbread tartlet and the Raspberry and Elderflower macaroon the most. Then once we finished the sandwiches and cakes, we were brought out scones which came with clotted cream and jam. I haven't had scones in so long and they were absolutely delicious!! The best part of it as well was that the scones were nice and warm.

We loved every minute of this afternoon and was definitely the best way to celebrate our Anniversary. We will definitely be going again for Afternoon Tea, may have to take my Mum and Nan as well next time.

Have you ever had Afternoon Tea?

Our 3rd Wedding Anniversary

Wednesday, 6 July 2016

Today me and Llewellyn are celebrating our 3rd Wedding Anniversary and I can not believe how quick it has come around.

I'm not going to lie we have had our ups and downs, what marriage hasn't!! But I am happy that we have been having so many more ups than downs lately and I can't wait for all the lovely memories we are going to continue to make.

He is my best friend as well as my Husband and I love every minute I spend with him. He makes me laugh every day, he gives the best hugs and I love how he accepts me for me, no questions asked. He's there for me when I have my bad days and he's there on my best days. I love how supportive of me he is especially with blogging as he now asks if I need pictures taken of food before we have eaten haha!!

Anyway I could literally go on forever about what I love about him but I will leave it there and go and celebrate with Afternoon Tea with him.

Hey Guys!!

I have had a pretty busy week to be honest, I have been work most of it and then the rest of it was spent cleaning the house. I was also sad that it was the last Game of Thrones and now have to wait god knows how long for the next season. I am looking forward to this week as we have a few anniversary plans which you will see on the blog over the next few days. We are going for Afternoon Tea for the first time and also going to the Zoo which I think is a great way to celebrate your 3rd Anniversary.

Weston Air Show

Tuesday, 28 June 2016

Hey Guys!!

A couple of weeks back me and Llewellyn decided to head down to Weston-Super-Mare again, we seem to always be down there lately! This time though we went down for the Air Show as usually we are on holiday when it is going on and so we end up missing it.

We managed to get a really good spot on the beach to be able to see the planes fly by. I must say it was probably due to the fact that it was freezing the day we went so there wasn't loads of people on the beach, there probably would've been more if it was sunny.

I must say I loved it, especially the Red Arrows, which I have I always loved. Llewellyn was like a child in a toy store, he absolutely loves that kind of thing and we plan on going to a few museums of transport.

I will now leave you with some pictures from the day.

Hey Guys!!

This week has been very centred around the fact we are making some home improvements as we want the house to start looking like a home rather than just being somewhere we rent. If you'd like to see a post of the improvements once it is all done, I will happily do that. Other than that it has been a pretty good week, I've been feeling so happy and content with myself and with work and I can not wait for the future happy times.

Hey Guys!!

So this week has been half relaxed and half busy. We finally started the painting on the landing and stairs and had a few days out. We also had a little trip to the cinema to see Me Before You and I must admit I cried my eyes out for the first time ever in the cinema!! Definitely recommend you guys to see this film as it was so good! We also had Father's Day this weekend and I spent the afternoon down my Mums' with Dad and then over my Nans' with our Grandad, was such a nice day just being altogether.

Vintage Car Rally

Wednesday, 15 June 2016

Hey Guys!!

On the weekend me and Llewellyn decided to hop on the train when I finished work and visit the Vintage Car Rally at Barry Island. The weather looked a bit 'iffy' as it was a bit showery before we left and when we got there but it brightened up around lunchtime and was a gorgeous day.

We have always loved going to these types of things as they used to do them in Tredegar Park but have stopped doing them there now. There wasn't loads of cars there as they were all along the promenade but the cars that were there were so cool.

Once we had a look at the cars we then went and had a little play in the arcade where I got addicted to the Bingo machines and Llewellyn won a giant bar of Dairy Milk. We also enjoyed some donuts on the way home and enjoyed some cheese, chips and gravy for lunch.

What do you think about vintage or new cars?

Hey Guys!!

Last week I didn't have internet until the end of the week so didn't post on Instagram much as you can see. I've had a pretty relaxing week to be honest, I went back to work after my week off and we have just chilled out when we can. I have a feeling I have posted the same photo from above from Lauren's birthday but why not look at it again!

Me and Llewellyn went to a Car Rally at Barry Island, Done some journalling and a little selfie from Lauren's Birthday.

Bowling Shenanigans!!

Wednesday, 8 June 2016

Hey Guys!!

Yesterday was my sisters' 23rd Birthday and she decided that she wanted to go bowling and have some food with the family. In total there was 7 of us that went so we had a decent game of bowling.

The place we went bowling is called Superbowl UK and has only been open since March. It was nice and quiet when we went as all the children are back in school now and it was only us on a lane. It is very clean, and everything is easy to use when it comes to putting your names up on the screen and deciding on the bumpers being up or down for people. They also have a soft play area, Laser Tag, a bar and an arcade, I can do all of these things but the Laser Tag due to my asthma as they use smoke machines.

So we began bowling, I must say I am not the best at bowling but I enjoy it anyway as I used to love going to Megabowl when that was open. Everyone had so much fun and at one point we thought our Nan was going to go down the lane with the ball!!

At the end of it then we had a look at the scores to see who won, Llewellyn won with 174 and I came last with 59! Lauren had a score of 116 but as there was so many of us I couldn't fit her score into the picture.

We only had one game so when we finished we went over into the bar area and had some food. I went with a basket of chicken nuggets and chips which were really nice, I just wish I wasn't so sensitive to grease as I couldn't eat all the chicken nuggets as the grease was making me queasy.

Afterwards then we went back to Mums' house and sat out the back garden for a few hours as the weather was still gorgeous as it has been through the week.

Hope you enjoyed this post!!
