Outfit of the Day: 8th Feb

Hey Guys!!

 

I haven't done an Outfit of the Day for a while as I haven't really been anywhere, especially with the weather as it is at the moment, but I did venture out Saturday night for a few drinks.

 

As it normally does, it took me a while to decide what I wanted to wear and after sending a few pictures back and forth I finally decided on my outfit.

 

I didn't want to wear something to dressy or casual, so sort of met in the middle and went for smart casual.

 

My black skirt is one I got from BooHoo.com a few years back and it is a bodycon skirt, I did have to have a new zip sewn on though as it broke a few months ago but is good as new now :) If I remember correctly it was about £8

 

My Jack Daniels top is a vest top and I received this as a gift at Christmas off my Mum and Dad :) I wore this as I love 'vintage' clothing and thought this definitely fell under the casual category :)

 

Then of course my trusty blue blazer came along for the ride to, which it smartened the outfit up. It didn't really keep me dry or warm though when it started to rain but still I love it, though I think I could do with another blazer in a different colour just so I got some variety :)

 

Then I wore my black ankle boot style heels from Deichmann :) along with glossy skin tone tights :)

My Week #4

Hey Guys!!

 

Sorry once again that this post is a day late, was a little dehydrated and do we dare say it, hungover and couldn't face the bright light of my laptop :(

 

This week I'm doing this post a little differently, you see I take a lot of pictures through the week rather than just one every day, so thought this week I would just pick my favourite 7 pictures from the week :) and here they are.

 

Sunday - Once again we had a gorgeous cooked dinner but this time we had lamb and it was delicious. I always look forward to a Sunday as the dinner is the best part.

 

Monday - At the moment I am finding I am absolutely obsessed with chocolate milkshake so have been drinking it everyday this week, though it does not do well with me trying to be healthy.

 

Friday - This day I signed up for Results With Lucy, which is Lucy from TOWIEs fitness website, and this is the workout I tried out and by god you could feel the burn so I am hoping this going to help me keep fit.

 

Saturday - There are 3 pictures I like from Saturday and there is number 1 which is my outfit I wore through the day, Guns and Roses top, track pants and my beanie hat and just felt so cool :) Then there was my outfit I wore out on the town (top pic with Saturday in red) I felt so comfortable in it and loved the top. Then the last pic is of me and my 'Aunty' (I don't really call her aunty as we are quite close in age so more friends than anything) who I went out on the town with and just loved this picture :)

 

So these were my favourite pictures from the week and we shall have to wait and see until next week to see what my favourites are for this week :)

Review: The Wolf of Wall Street

 

Hey Guys!!

 

Last night we decided to go to the cinema as we haven't been for ages and decided on seeing The Wolf Of Wall Street. There had been so many amazing reviews about it and so we went to check it out.

 

This film is about Jordan Belfort (Leonardo Dicaprio) who first off gets a stock brokers job on Wall Street then ends up setting up his own firm. Then when his firm gets bigger and he gets wealthier, its years of parties, drugs and sex which then leads to one of his cofounders gets arrested and tells all to the FBI, which ends with Jordan being arrested. He does cooperate with the FBI which means his jail sentence was reduced from 20 years to 36 months and now teaches seminars to the general public. Jonah Hill also stars in this film. 

 

I am so glad we did as it definitely lived up to its reviews, to me it felt like it was better than the reviews I'd seen :) It amazed me that this was based on a true story because some of the things in the film were just unbelievable ha ha

 

It was an array of laughs and gasps and just all round amazingness, yes I just made up that word!!! I really don't know what else to say about this film it is just so good!!! I definitely recommend this film to anyone who would like to see it. I also think that Leonardo Dicaprio definitely deserves an Oscar for this film, it was also nice to see Jonah Hill in a more adult themed film.

 

So my rating for this film would have to be 10/10

My Week #3

Hey Guys!!

 

I am sorry this post is a day late, I was over my Nans yesterday so wasn't able to post. As you can see though we have come to that time again where we see what I got up to through the week :)

 

1. Sunday - This was the day after Llewellyns staff party and there was no better way to cure my hangover than with chicken nuggets and a chocolate milkshake, also a 3 hour nap helped as well!!

 

2. Tuesday - I thought I would sit in bed and read my book, but came in to see that both cats were curled up together, taking up the whole side of my bed haha

 

3. Wednesday - This day I was feeling a bit down so I sat down with this box of Heroes and watched a film under a blanket:)

 

4. Thursday - I decided to cook a nice healthy meal today and by god it tasted gorgeous!! It was chicken in a white wine sauce with croquets, delicious!!!

 

5. Friday - Today I decided to sit down and actually organise myself with blogs, youtube and fitness. So now you can expect regular posts and videos :) its nice to be organised for once :)

 

6. Saturday - Of course today was the start of the Rugby 6 Nations!! Being Welsh of course we sat and watched to support our boys in red and boy did they do well winning their first match. So we got my Mums dog Olly in on the action to and put a rugby shirt on him :)

 

As you may notice there is no picture for Monday but that is because I was doing housework that day and didn't do anything picture worthy :(

 

Well lets see what this week will bring!!

Liebster Award

Hey Guys!!

 

I haven't been feeling to well today :( so decided to come and check my posts and catch up on some blog reading, when to my surprise I seen that I was nominated for a Liebster Award :) I must say it very much cheered me up :)

 

I was nominated by the lovely Eleanor (littlethoughtsfromlittlepeople.blogspot.co.uk) and am very grateful for this nomination :)

1) What's your favourite book?

I think my favourite book has to be.....oh I don't know its such a hard decision as I don't have one favourite book!! So will go with my favourite at the moment and say The Hunger Games Series

 2) Where do you want to travel?

The one place I would absolutely love to travel to is Amsterdam as I really want to visit Anne Franks 'house' as I am very interested in that and WW2

 3) What's the top of your bucket list?

I don't actually have a bucket list but I think at the top for me would be to go to Disney World in Florida!!

 4) What do you hope to achieve by the end of this year?

At the end of the year I would like to have achieved maybe 200/300 followers, and also that my YouTube Channel gets more subscribers, I am practising a lot at getting better with filming and writing so fingers crossed on that :)

 5) What's your favourite Ice cream flavour?

My favourite has to be mint choc chip :)

 6) What's your favourite nail polish called and who makes it?

At the moment I am loving the shade I am currently wearing which is Naked Truth and its by Avon Cosmetics

 7) What's you're favourite band?

My favourite bands are McFly and Busted, which now they have formed McBusted and I am so excited that I am going to see them, my ultimate favourite :)

 8) What's your favourite makeup brand?

Has to be Make Up Academy :)

 9) What's your favourite film?

My favourite film is anything Disney to be honest, I love Disney so much!!

 10) Which celebrity would you like to meet?

I would've liked to have met Audrey Hepburn, she is my idol :) but in this day I would love to meet either Britney Spears or Kim Kardashian :)

A random fact would have to be that when I have shoes on or even when I don't have shoes on, I curl my toes, and sometimes I don't even realise I am doing it!!

Book Review: Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

Hey Guys!!

 

I actually managed to finish my book that I was reading and thought I would give you a review on what I thought about it :)

 

As you can tell by the title I read Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins.

 



Blurb: Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark are still alive. Katniss should be relieved, but now there are whispers of a rebellion against the Capitol - a rebellion that Katniss and Peeta may have helped create.

 

As the nation watches Katniss and Peeta, the stakes are higher than ever. One false move and the consequences will be unimaginable.

 

 

 

 

I absolutely loved this book, I literally couldn't put it down, what with the twists and turns throughout the book. I found as I was reading it I was going through so many emotions and was literally gasping at certain points of the book. It was just fantastic, I really can't describe it much more than that, it was absolutely fantastic.

 

I am now on the last book of the series, so hoping its just as exciting as this one :)

 

I give it 5/5 and would definitely recommend it :)

January Favourites

Hey Guys!!

 

I thought I would share with you my favourite items for the month :) These 5 items are my most used things lately, some of them are from Christmas and others are what I have acquired lately :) So lets begin :)

 

 

So first is my pillow I had for Christmas from Llewellyn, I have a slight obsession with Me To You items anyway, so this pillow is the perfect present. I love the pattern on it and the bear is just so cute, it is majorly soft and comfortable to sleep on :) I sleep on this pillow every night and already have said its going on the flight for holiday in August :)

 

 

Second is my new vlogging camera which Llewellyn won in a raffle through his works party :) He gave it to me as he knew I needed a smaller camera to be able to vlog with. Its a really nice size as it fits in my hand perfectly and the quality of footage is the same as a DSLR camera which is great :) I love it!!

 

 

Third is my eye mask, I had this as part of a set for Christmas off Llewellyns brother and his girlfriend :) I wear this every night to bed and must say I have been sleeping so much better with it :) I am feeling more refreshed in the mornings :) I actually have to sew the elastic back on though as it snapped the other day :(

 

 

As you know from a previous post I have a goal of how many books I am going to read through the year, and this was one of them, also the rest of the trilogy :) I am absolutely loving them, I've only just started reading this one and love it already, I seriously can't put it down :)

 

 

Also this month I was eligible for an upgrade with my mobile contract :) I was excited as I have been wanting the Sony Xperia Z1 for ages, I wanted it in black originally, but they only had white available, so had to have white :) As you can see though I have a lovely blue dotty cover on it which I got from Amazon :) I love this phone so much, the camera is amazing quality :)

 

And that completes my January Favourites :) All these items I am in love with and can't wait to see what this months favourites will be :)
