How to Mix Patterns for Spring and Summer

Hey Pretties out there!! =D
I know I've been gone for a month or so. So sorry about that.
I'm having an important exam this month, so I have to neglect my blog for a while.
So that I can study and revise for my exam. =)
Hope you guys can understand =))
My exam is not over yet, is just that I have a little bit time in between.
So I'm gonna update =)
See how good I am =))

So from the title, I'm gonna give you guys tips on how to mix patterns.
Since now is Spring and Summer is coming up.
Patterns are really trendy right now.
The usual pattern that almost everybody know is the Polka Dots and Stripes, which never gets old.
Now recently, Floral, Tribal and Houndstooth patterns are in trend now. [ And of course more, just naming a few]
I personally love the Tribal prints and Floral patterns. =))

So how do you mix patterns while dressing up??
Usually, we match one pattern top/bottom with a plain top/bottom.
So that it doesn't look too clash or dizzy.
But why bother to dress so plain? YOLO!!

So here, I'm gonna teach you guys a secret on how to wear patterns from head to toe. =))
Here's the secret!!!
WEAR THE SAME BASE COLOUR!!

Yup, that's it!!
Just wear the same base colour of your top and bottom, and you perfectly mastered the trend of how to mix patterns and prints =))
So if you guys still don't get it. I have pics down below to show you guys =)
Leggo~!!

Outfit number 1
I've matched my black base stripe top with my black base floral skirt.
As you can see, it doesn't look too clash-y.
And it's still prefect for S/S seasons =))

And for shoes, I've matched it with my usual black heels. Heh =D
Since black goes with everything =)

Or my fav red flats =))

Top : Cotton On
Skirt : Cotton On
Heels : some boutique
Flats : Joy & Peace

I know, both outfits were matched with floral skirts, it's just a coincidence =))
Or I should say, I love floral patterns really much =D *hearts*

Outfit number 2
In this outfit, I've matched this navy blue base with little white heart prints, with a navy blue base floral skirt.

As you can see, there's a lot going on, but you don't feel dizzy. =)

Top : Lalu
Skirt : Forever 21
Heels : some boutique
Flats : Joy & Peace

Am I standing or jumping?? ;) *smirk*

Thanks to my friend Isaac to help me edit this pic below =))
I really love the effect though, the feeling is so strong. [shameless me] =D

And most of all thanks to my bestie Nicole for helping me taking these pics. =) ♥♥♥

P.S. : I did not edit my pics, mostly what I did is increase the exposure level and sharpened it. That's all =)
So I have to say that Nicole really took some really 'accidentally' good pics for me, and I can't thank you enough =)
Thanks!! =))

Hope you guys love this tip that I've shared with you all. =) ♥♥

My last paper of my exam is at June 10th.
So I hope you guys can be patient enough to wait for my next update =))
But I'll try to update in between.
Thank you =)

Love Me!! XOXO ♥♥♥♥

FOR SALE- ONE PAIR OF DIRTY TIGHTS, SLIGHTLY LADDERED £15 ONO (A STRANGE REQUEST IN AN EVEN STRANGER DAY)

Yesterday started out as an average day.  Alarm went off at 07:50.  Showered, brushed my teeth and picked out an outfit.  As it is still beautiful weather, I chose to wear a dress and as I didn’t have time to freshly shave my legs, I also chose to wear flesh coloured tights.
Fast forward to 09:02 and I had just arrived at the office and settled at my desk with a coffee.  Feeling an itch, I scratch my leg and snag my tights on my finger nail, ripping a ladder in them and putting me in a bit of a dilemma.  Do I take off my tights and hope no one notices the small amount of stubble or do I keep them on and hope no one clocks the ladder?  I voted to keep them on and, as I work in social media, also decided to tweet about it.

‘Been at work 2 minutes and have already laddered my tights! #Doh #oneofthosedays’
Innocent enough, right?  Well, maybe not as one hour and 55 minutes later, this happened…..

Now, spending 8 hours a day, 5 days a week on the internet, you see your fair share of strange, but I had not ever had it directed to me before, and to begin with, thought this was a joke.  Clicking through to his twitter profile, I saw scroll after scroll of women tweeting about their tights and @dumbbitchboy sending the exact same request to each and every one of them.  To buy their used tights.
I have to admit, the shine came off the whole experience a bit when I realised that I was not special, but just a result in a twitter search and then I started to really think about what was being asked of me.
Dumbitchboy is obviously a man with a foot fetish, but, unlike some that hide it away and order discretely from websites designed for them, he not only puts it out there quite confidently, but actively seeks it out using social media!  I was a little impressed by this.  That he was so secure in what he wanted that he did not hide it away.
I did what all girls do, and posted the above screen shot on my Facebook and asked my friends what they  thought.  Almost all of them laughed and asked how much he would be willing to pay.  This had not even crossed my mind, and as I am far too curious for my own good, I messaged him back and asked him his price.  I got a swift response of ‘£10-£15, depending on how much they smell (sorry to be gross).
TEN TO FIFTEEN POUND! I had paid just £3 for a pack of 4 just a few days earlier and now I was being offered almost 5 times that much for one pair, just because they smelt like my feet!

The problem comes when you start to think about why he is willing to pay for your dirty tights, and what will happen to your tights once they have been delivered to Dumbbitchboy.  It’s easy to laugh about foot sniffing perverts talking to you on the internet, but when you think about a guy you have never met, getting aroused by sniffing your underwear, it suddenly feels a little seedy.  Would I send a photo of myself to a stranger for him to wank over? No I wouldn’t, so is this somehow different?  It is still selling a part of me for someones sexual pleasure after all.  I asked myself, if I was single, is this something that I would consider doing?  The answer was no, I wouldn’t feel comfortable with it, even if I was single.  But, again, I was curious so I asked a few friends and my boyfriend what they thought.
‘Its an easy £15 mate…..you’ll never meet the guy so why not’
‘I couldn’t do it Vik, the thought of someone having a wank at my smelly tights is too much!’
I might send a sock, but not tights..he says he is after the foot bit but you never know!’
and then an interesting opinion….
‘When you walk down the street, any guy that looks at you and finds you attractive will have wank banked you, gone home and next time he felt like it, would have thought of you.  How is this different?  Surely it’s better as he has asked your permission and has offered you a reward for your time!’
It is a difficult one to argue with.  How many guys that you pass on the street have done exactly that without your knowledge?  Or is it the fact that you don’t know it’s happening that makes it ok?  Ignorance is bliss as they say. But if you DID somehow know, would you demand something in return from them using you as material? Has Dumbbitchboy just taken out the anonymity slightly and just been a lot more honest about it all?(something we do seem to request from men a lot).
Being in a relationship also put a spin on things.  How would my partner feel if I rocked up home and told him I had sold my dirty tights to some guy from the internet?
‘How would you feel if I said I had sold my boxers to a woman online so that she could get off?’
I giggled at the thought, but he was right, I wouldn’t like it one bit and this was no different.  No different from selling photos of my breasts to guys online, or flirting with someone in a chat room.  There are certain things that I believe when you are in a relationship, only your boyfriend should see or, in this case, smell.  (he doesn’t sniff my tights by the way but you know what I mean!)
I did find it fascinating though just how many of my friends seemed perfectly ok with it.  Of course, they all laughed when I suggested hooking them up with Dumbbitchboy if they really wanted the money themselves, and most shrugged it off when it came down to them actually doing it, but a few had a glint in their eyes as they said no that made me think that if no one knew, they would surely do it for the money.
I got home that evening and the tights came off and went in the bin, where they have stayed and will be staying.  Maybe I was brought up a little too well, but I just couldn’t shake off that underlying ‘would that make me a kind of prostitute’ feeling that I don’t think even the most vigorous shower would ever wash away.

Why Your Outfit is Not Helping Your Career!!

Building a successful professional career is a highly exhausting process that can sometimes last for a very long time. Its final result depends on many factors, but our personal devotion has always been considered as the basic one. However, when you take up a new job, there are many things you need to do in order to accommodate. Firstly, there are numerous responsibilities you need to take on. Apart from that, you have to completely adapt to the new professional setting and to start from the very beginning. If you want to be appreciated and considered as a real professional, you need to act and look like one. Therefore, you have to adjust even small things such as your wardrobe, to make it seem sophisticated and elegant.

Don’t look up to Erin Brockovich!!

Have you ever spotted a woman whose entire look is not appropriate for her profession? Well, just remember the role of Erin Brockovich played by Julia Roberts. Although she was a real professional, her overly aggressive outfit repelled everyone and people didn’t consider her reliable enough. We can draw numerous conclusions from that example, but the most important one is: If you don’t look like a professional, you will be simply disregarded as untrustworthy.

If you are still uncertain about what not to wear in the office, here are several tips that could be helpful. Firstly, you should reconsider the colors of your clothes. When it comes to your job, your outfit represents your personality and reveals a lot about you as a professional. This is why you should strictly avoid aggressive colors or some extreme contrasts, since they have a negative influence on both you and your environment. Another detail you have to skip is animal print on your clothes, since it is considered highly vulgar and inappropriate.

When it comes to the choice of the sole clothes, there are many things you should avoid. Don’t wear old clothes that show a lot of wear and tear, because they will depict you as someone who doesn’t care about their appearance at all. By wearing old clothes that went out of fashion a long time ago, you may subconsciously express yourself as someone who doesn’t like changes and prosperity, which could also influence your further progress within the company you work for. Secondly, you should avoid wearing pieces that are too tight or too short - you simply need to eliminate hot pants, leggings, miniskirts and cutoffs from your wardrobe. Although these pieces could look amazing on a casual occasion, in the business world they would belittle your real professional potentials and bring you only the disrespect of your colleagues. Similarly, overly short skirts and transparent dresses of lightweight fabrics are not suitable for the office.  Also, pay attention to details. Even though it is very important for you to put some additional accessories to your daily outfit, you should not exceed some usual limits. For instance, choosing lots of completely different pieces of jewelry would look ridiculous. Finally, you have to keep in mind that extremely high shoes may distract you from your regular activities, which would again, influence your further progress.

Feel sexy and confident every day!!

However, you shouldn’t be discouraged at all. You can always make radical changes regarding your outfit. Let’s begin with colors again. If you want to feel happy and satisfied, you should mix some more neutral colors such as brown, beige, white, black or gray, with some brighter colors like emerald green and turquoise. Anyhow, the transitions and contrasts should be mild and soft. When it comes to the office-worthy clothes, you should always have several items that can be easily paired with almost everything. One of these versatile items is a blazer- a classic solution worth every penny. They go well with both jeans and some more elegant pieces. Blazers beautifully shape and emphasize your silhouette, as well as give you feminine curves and make the waist thinner. A sheath dress could also be an ideal solution for you. It is lightweight, soft and really comfortable. More importantly, it will make you look amazing. There are various internet sites where you could buy one of these beautiful dresses online. You could also pick a skirt that fits your shape, and combine it with a silk blouse- this combination will make you look sexy and confident.

While working, you are constantly facing many stressful situations and, depending on the way you deal with them, you will be rewarded by your superiors. This is one of the reasons why disruptions shouldn’t appear. The annoying pain in your feet could be a sign that you need to replace your shoes with more comfortable ones. For example, you could start wearing flats or kitten heels, that won’t cause so much pain during the day.  You should also play with accessories and combine numerous details. Make your outfit stylish with a watch or an elegant piece of jewelry.  Besides that, you could embellish it with a colorful scarf, large sunglasses or a leather handbag.

There is a never-ending relationship between your job and personal attitudes. Your unfashionable and dull style may simply repel people, and thus, automatically lower the chances for your possible advancement in a certain field. Your job should represent a source of your creativity and relaxation. Following these tips, you will be able to update your wardrobe, which could result in many positive results career wise. You will be amazed when people start complimenting you on your awesome fitting blazer!

Outfit For A Wedding Guest

Sunday, 13 April 2014

Hey Guys!!!

As you know I am off to Edinburgh in a few days for Llewellyns' cousins Wedding, of course due to that I had to find something to wear.

I knew I was going to wear a dress but just didn't know what style, what colour, will I get it online or in a shop, there were so many questions. I decided I was going to look online and went on my favourite site Boohoo.com, I seem to do a lot of shopping on there, ooppss. I scrolled and scrolled and scrolled, until I came across a lovely, pastel, blue skater dress with cut outs to the sides. I showed Llewellyn to see what he thought and he liked it so of course straight in the basket it went. Delivery was really fast which was great as I wanted to make sure it was here in time :)

Of course when it came I tried it on and it fits really nice. Its not to short which is good as I didn't want it to be really short, as I don't think that's appropriate for a Wedding. The material is like a nylon type and is stretchy which is good as it will go with my shape better :) The cut outs on either side of the dress are not to bad either and the back is a bit low but not to low that its right down my back :)

At first I had bought a black blazer to go with this dress but it just didn't go with it at all. I happened to have my sisters cardigan with me, which was like a rustic pink, so tried it on and it went perfectly with my dress. I looked on eBay for the blazer I got as I didn't want to spend to much as I had just bought a black one. I came across this one and altogether including postage it came to just under £10.

It is a lovely, pale, pink, 3/4 sleeved blazer. There is elastic in the sleeves so it fits comfortably around my arms. It doesn't have a button to do it up at the front so stays open. It is very light to wear and can see me being nice and cool in it as I don't want to be to warm.

Luckily I didn't have to buy shoes as I already had a pale pink pair I bought a long time ago, they just needed a clean and they go so well together. I am pretty sure I got these from Primark  and they weren't to expensive either :)

There we have it, this will be my outfit for the Wedding and I can't wait to wear it :) I will leave you with a picture of it paired with the blazer, on the hanger :)

See You Soon!!
