Phoenix Rising

Friday, 17 April 2015

Hey Guys!!

I'm now fully into my ritual of having showers through the week and reserving a Sunday as my relaxation night. So that can only mean one thing I used one of my Lush bath bombs!!

I have been wanting to get this one for a long time and was so happy when I ordered it. I love the smell of cinnamon so I was sold as soon as I seen that, that was the scent.

I love the look of this bath bomb as it is so pretty and glittery, it actually didn't smell as strong as I thought it would though. It also took a long time for it to fizz away but the colour it left was gorgeous.

It left a dark purple colour behind but I still don't think the scent is that strong. I would still get it again though as it is very pretty and my skin felt amazing afterwards.

If you'd like to try this Phoenix Rising bath bomb you can find it here.

Hope you enjoyed this little post :)

LUSH Bath ox

Friday, 13 February 2015

Hey Guys!!

Once again I decided to combine my favourite Candy Mountain with another of my bath bombs. I now only have one left of my bath bombs, which makes me so sad!! May have to order some more.

I used the Dashing Santa this time, I was a little disappointed as it didn't dash around the bath it just sank to the bottom.

The colour was like a very pale orange and then slowly, not to be rude, looked a bit like a pee colour when you're not hydrated enough.

I must say though I got a lot of bubbles out of a small amount of the Candy Mountain.

As usual my skin felt amazing afterwards and there wasn't much of a scent to me personally. I like it though and would order it again at Christmas time.

I Hope You Enjoyed This Little Review!!

LUSH Bath ox

Friday, 6 February 2015

Hey Guys!!

It was that time of the week again where I have a nice, relaxing, hot bath and of course cracked out my LUSH products.

This time I used the Candy Mountain Bubble Bar and Bear Bath Bomb.

I actually cut the Candy Mountain in half as I like to get a few baths out of it. It made the water go nice and bubbly, it always amazes me how many bubbles come from just half :)

I then popped in the bath bomb. It didn't colour the water at all but I must say because it had Cocoa Butter as one of the ingredients, my skin was so soft and looked so healthy.

I don't know whether I would get the bear again as I do like the bath bombs that turns the water a different colour. I will definitely get the Candy Mountain Bubble Bar again as this is the 2nd one I have had and I love it :)

Hope You Enjoyed This Quick Little Post!!

My 5 Favourite Make Up Products

Wednesday, 4 December 2013

Hey Guys!!

As you can tell by the title I thought I would show you my 5 favourite make up products I have been using a lot lately. I rarely wear make up everyday as I tend to have bad breakouts and I don't want to make it worse, so tend to just wear it at occasions. Anyway here is my 5 favourite products :)

So first off is my foundation. It took me a while to find the right foundation for my skin, as I used to wear powdered foundation and that just made my skin look flaky. Then I was in Superdrug one day and thought I would try this Matte Foundation from Make Up Academy, the shade is Honeycomb which is perfect for my skin tone. This particular one is £2 and I do use a primer under it from the same range. I love this as it leaves my skin feeling so soft and it makes my skin look amazing and shall I say it.....flawless!! I would definitely recommend it :)

Second is my Bronzer from Make Up Academy, I can't remember how much this was as I bought it for the Wedding. I've never used bronzer before and thought I would give it a go. Its in Shade 2 and from Superdrug and to be honest when you put it on its not to dark which is nice because obviously I didn't want to look to dark in my wedding photos. It goes on very easily which is nice, especially when contouring and just giving myself a general glow :)

Third is my Blush from Make Up Academy, do you see a theme here ha ha? This is in Shade Bon Bon and again from Superdrug. Surprisingly this goes very well with my skin tone and blends in well with my bronzer. I didn't want a to bright blusher so this was perfect and the same as my bronzer it goes on really well :)

Fourth is my Eye-shadow Pencil from Jillian Dempsey for Avon and I'm not sure how much it is as I came across it in one of my drawers. It is double ended as it has a cheek and lip pencil the other end but I rarely use that end. Its a Golden Brown and I use this all the time, for my everyday look as well as if I'm going to parties, I love it that much.

Lastly is my lipstick!! This is from the Everlasting range of Avon and is in shade Pink Peach :) Now I have never been one to wear lipstick before, I never used to like it, but all of a sudden I just love wearing it :) My lips are not to dark but they're not to light so it goes really well on :) I do notice though if I have had it on a while it does make my lips look cracked and dried out, so I tend to top it up every now and again. I don't wear this all the time but sometimes when I wear it I do put a little bit of Barry M clear lipgloss on top, just to give it an extra shine :)

Well I hope you have enjoyed reading about what my favourite make up products are and let me know what yours are?

Also if there's any products you would recommend!!

Hope You're Having A Good Week!!

My Skincare Routine

Wednesday, 27 November 2013

Hey Guys!!

Today is Beauty post day so I thought I would let you in on how I look after my skin and show you what products I use :)

Morning Routine
For my morning routine I use these Solution products which I get from Avon, I have had these a while so these certain products are not sold anymore :( but there is a new packaging with the cleansing product. So first off I use my exfoliating glove (not pictured) as it gets deep into my pores then and makes my skin a lot softer than if I just used my hand. I put the cleanser on in small circular motions until it looks soapy, then wash it off with warm water. Once I've cleansed I then use the A.M. moisturiser after I've patted my face dry. That's literally my morning routine, so simple and it leaves my skin so soft and looks so clean and hydrated :)

Night Routine

My night routine is a little more complicated, if that's the word to use, than my morning routine. All the products are from the same range so I'm not mixing any products together. So I use my cleanser the same way as my morning routine but afterwards I use a toner. I put the toner on with cotton wool balls and this just basically removes any excess dirt from my face and neck that the cleanser didn't :) I then use my hydrating gel, which is in the tall box to the left, all over my face and I only need to use such a small amount as it stretches well. After using this my face definitely looks a lot more hydrated and feels a lot softer to :) I then moisturise my eyes, which is the smallest box, same with my hydrating gel I only have to use a tiny amount and it does make my eyes look a lot more 'awake' and fresh, also I don't look so tired :) I then finish off with the P.M. moisturiser and my skin just feels amazing afterwards :)

Overall I would definitely recommend this range, I know that some of the products have been discontinued, which makes me sad as I love these products :( but I know the cleanser, toner and moisturiser is still available. I would also recommend it because it makes my skin look amazing especially after a week of use as you can't see much difference in the first few days, though you can feel a difference. The only thing with these products is that they are only available from Avon.

What are your skincare routines?

Also does your night routine differ from your morning routine?

Are there any products you would definitely recommend?

Hope You Guys Are Having A Good Week!!

Halloween!!!!!

Monday, 4 November 2013

Hey Guys!!

I want to apologise that I haven't done a post in a while, I've been so busy with days out and work, I haven't really done anything worth interesting for you haha

But as you can see from the title I did do something for Halloween :D My friends sister had a house party for Halloween and naturally we dressed up in some scary costumes, well I would like to think it was scary haha

My costume I managed to find on ebay after hours of looking through costume sites, amazon and ebay, I came across a Zombie Sailor costume. Been as though me and my 2 friends discuss everything when it comes to going out I showed them first and they loved it so that is what I got :)

Excuse the face haha
So as you can see in the picture it was just a normal, thin nylon blue dress with silk for the collar and tie section and then a little nylon hat. Also as you can see it has 'blood' spatters all over it :) I do have white stockings on that has 'blood' spatters on as well and then I just wore my canvas shoes :) I can tell you that as comfortable and as light to wear as it is I was absolutely freezing so did have a thick jacket with me to put on as well :)

I didn't take a close up picture of my hair and make up, very silly of me :(, but I just used a black metallic eye shadow, black eyeliner & mascara and a black liquid liner to darken it a bit more. Also I used the same black eye shadow as out of all the make up I have I had no dark blusher :( so used that to contour my face to make it look drawn in :)

For my hair I just washed & dried it, then sectioned it and with each section back combed it to give it a bit of a messy look and a bit of volume, then sprayed hair spray on it to keep it in place-ish.

I know its only a quick post but I will take a picture of the products I used for my make up and will update you with that :)

Did any of you dress up for Halloween? or Did any of you go to some really cool party?

Hope You Are All Having A Good Week!! See You Soon xxx

Planet Spa Turkish Thermal Baths Clay Facemask Review

Wednesday, 16 October 2013

Hey Guys!!!

I apologise for the long title the product has a very long name :) Anyway a couple of posts back I was going to do a review on the facemask I had bought and never got round to it, so yesterday (15/10) I thought I would have a nice, relaxing bath and use my facemask as I've been having a few stressful weeks as of lately :( I will also apologise in advance of the pictures of me as when I put it on I couldn't move my face so couldn't smile :( So anyway on to the review :)

So as you can see in the title it is part of the Turkish Thermal Baths range of Planet Spa which you get from Avon Cosmetics I think this was about £2/£3 and it comes in a 75ml squeezy tube :) It is a clay facemask so goes on 'wet' and dries hard so you have to wipe it off with a flannel or maybe an exfoliating glove to give yourself an extra treatment :)

All you have to do is apply a thin layer all over your face, obviously avoiding your mouth and eye areas, then leave it on for 5 minutes or wait until it all turns pink, as it goes on brown, then rinse off thoroughly and pat dry :) Putting on was easy I just squeezed a little bit onto my fingers and put it on in circular motions to get an even coverage. As I was putting on I couldn't quite put my finger on what it smelt like then after a minute or two it hit me, it smelt like chocolate and we all love chocolate :) So while waiting for it to dry pink which actually took longer than 5 minutes, or felt like longer, I carried on with my bath :) what was nice about this is that it didn't irritate my skin at all as I have quite sensitive skin so got to be careful as to what I use. Once it turned pink I then washed it all off which was easy enough to do because some I've used I've had to scrub really hard to get it off but this came off easily and patted it dry :) In the picture is the process of it going from brown to pink :)

I was very surprised at how soft my skin was after I used it, it also looked really hydrated and just plain healthy, which it hasn't looked this healthy in a while. I would maybe advise to possibly use a moisturiser after the face mask because even though my skin was so soft and hydrated it was as if there was no actual moisture, but this morning my skin still looks really good and still feels really soft :) In the picture I don't know whether you will be able to really tell, I should've taken a before picture but didn't think of that until I had put the mask on haha, but my skin does look really good. Also my flash went off so my face also looks really bright :)

So to conclude I will definitely be using this facemask again, especially if I'm going to be going out or just need to refresh my skin. I also would definitely recommend this to everyone but obviously only if it doesn't irritate your skin :)

Hope You're All Having A Good Week So Far!!! See You Soon!!!

What's In My Shower Bag?

Wednesday, 2 October 2013

Hey Guys!!!

Hope you're all ok and enjoying your week so far :)

So I was sat here thinking what have I not seen yet, as we've seen What's In My Handbag? & What's In My Makeup Bag? tags but what about What's In My Shower Bag? So here we go, here is what is in my shower bag :)

So my shower bag I got because I needed a new shower bag for my honeymoon :) I seen this in Primark and fell in love with it as I loved the pattern and the colours, I also loved the size as I tend to use quite a lot of products when I'm away and just in general :) This particular one was £4 and I happen to have the matching makeup bag :) which you will see soon :)

So first off I just have my usual Eeyore flannel that I always use for holidays and have had it for years (don't worry it does get washed) so I'm not sure where its from. Then I have my contact lenses for when I want to wear them, which is not very often haha Of course I have my toothbrush holder which keeps it clean and doesn't get any lotions etc. on it. Then a must have which are my replacement razor blades for when they need replacing :)

Then I have my self tanning mitt which I actually haven't used yet as (touch wood) my tan hasn't faded yet, but I don't use self tan, like Fake Bake, I use tinted moisturiser. I got this from Primark and I think it was about £1, so a total bargain :) I then also have my exfoliating gloves which I use in the shower, bath and when moisturising :) I love using these as my skin always feels gorgeous afterwards and I always feel extra clean after using them :)

These are the products that I use regularly and also the products I love :) So I will go from left to right so you know what I'm talking about :) So I have Herbal Essences Shampoo as this is the only product I can use on my hair as for some reason nothing else seems to work or clean my hair properly, so I always use this now :) the smell is also gorgeous when using this, so I always have nice smelling hair :)

Then I have Ted Baker Body Fragrance spray which I use for a little spritz when I'm about to go out or sometimes I do take it with me to freshen up through the day, the smell is absolutely divine and is, I would say, a bit floral and summery, so its definitely a good spray to use in the summer :)

I then have hair removal cream from Avon Cosmetics which I use for the tops of my legs as the tops of my legs tend to be sensitive to a razor so it is better for me to use a hair removal cream :)

I then use my tinted moisturiser which is Dove Summer Glow for Fair to Medium Skin which is fantastic, as I used it for my Wedding to give me a bit of colour and after about 2 uses it went quite dark, so I definitely recommend this for winter if you want to have a bit of colour or if you want to keep your tan going from a holiday :) It is a bit expensive but I managed to find it when it was on offer in Boots at £2.49 and luckily I had some Boots points and used them. I actually only started using this as my friends sister recommended it, so its definitely a must have in my eyes :)

Then last but not least my shower gel :) I am currently using Palmolives Naturals in Pampering Touch which has Coconut and Moisturising Milk :) It smells absolutely gorgeous and is rather silky compared to other shower gels that I have used. It definitely does what it says on the tin with the moisturising aspect as my skin feels so soft afterwards especially as I use my exfoliating gloves to wash with :) I can't actually remember where I got this but I think I got it while it was on offer as I bought 4 of them haha

Well I hope you have enjoyed finding out What's In My Shower Bag? and I invite any of you that reads this blog to have a go and let me know so I can see your post :)

Hope you all have a great day and will see you all soon :)

Shopping Haul x

Wednesday, 25 September 2013

Hey Guys!!!

So I may not have told you this but I am a Representative for Avon Cosmetics, which means I sell Avon products to people, obviously if they want them, so sometimes I do order some things for myself :)

Well this Campaign I did see a few things I would like to try and seen some things I could use for my YouTube videos :) So here they are :)

So I ordered this pallet as they are new in the catalogue and I wanted to have a bit of colour in my makeup collection, I tend to use a lot of nudes and very pale shades. I liked the look of this as there are some really nice colours in it to experiment with, also they will look great for the party season during Christmas and New Year :) Also you can't really see in this picture but they are glittery to make them look metallic :)

This is part of the Planet Spa range that we do that includes body lotions & butters, hand creams, shower gels, etc. This particular item is part of the Turkish Thermal Bath range and is a clay face mask, I was going to order this before but completely forgot to, ooppss!! I haven't tried it yet but am going to be using it Friday (27th) while I have a nice relaxing bath. I'm not 100% sure what it does for your skin yet, I think it rehydrates it, but I will let you guys know on Friday/Saturday :)

These here are ready for when we do our Halloween cupcakes for our weekly video on YouTube :) I seen these in the Sale book and just had to get them as they are so cute :) They are basically little cupcake holders in the shape of cobwebs and have a little spider on them, which you can't see as I took the picture from above :) I really can't wait to use these as they are just so cute :)

And last of all, these were also in the sale, Halloween cookie cutters :) There is a Pumpkin, a Witch, a Ghost and a Cat :) These aren't normal cookie cutters though because there is two parts to each one to make it 3D so that then they stand up :) These will also be used for our YouTube weekly video and really can't wait to use them to see how they turn out :)

Well I really hope you enjoyed this post and that you like these items, I will definitely do a post when I use them and also put pictures up so you can see :)

Hope You're All Having A Good Week :)
